The difference between Electric Valve and Solenoid Valve

The solenoid valve uses the electromagnetic principle and the electromagnetic attraction produced by the electrified solenoid to guide the movement of the valve core, and the control mode is DO digital signal control.

The driving device of the electric valve is a reversible electric motor. The valve core is driven by the rotation of the motor for a certain time. The flow rate of the pipeline medium can be adjusted by using AI analog signal control, and the digital signal control can also be used in the specific pipeline environment.

Range difference between electric valve and solenoid valve

Solenoid valve has excellent leakage prevention performance, quick opening and closing, low power, which is suitable for cutting off in some corrosion, toxicity and other chemical pipes.

Most of the electric valves are used to regulate the flow of pipes. They are normally installed at the air outlet of air supply and refrigeration pipes, and can also be used in liquid pipes.

Uses of electric and solenoid valves

Solenoid valve: it is used for liquid and gas pipeline switch control, and has two-position DO control. It is generally used for the control of small pipes.

Electric valve: it is used for analog regulation of medium flow in liquid, gas and wind system piping, and has AI control. In the control of large valve and air system, it can also use electric valve to do two-position switch control.

Solenoid valve: it can only be used as switch, and has DO control, which can only be used for small pipe control, common DN50 and below pipes.

Electric valve: it can have AI feedback signal, and can be controlled by DO or AO, compared with large pipe and air valve, etc.
