Reasons and solutions of motor heating
As an indispensable and important power provider in people's production and life, many motors will have a very serious phenomenon of heating in the process of use, but many people do not know how to solve it, more seriously, they do not know what causes the motor heating, which should be the first to master in the process of motor use, so let's take a look at the common causes of motor heating.
1. The air gap between the stator and rotor of the motor is very small, which can easily lead to the collision between the stator and the rotor.
In medium and small motors, the air gap is generally 0.2mm≤1.5mm. When the air gap is large, and the excitation current is required to be large, which affects the power factor of the motor. If the air gap is too small, the rotor may have friction or collision. Generally, due to the serious overshoot of the bearing and the wear and deformation of the inner hole of the end cover, the machine seat, the end cover and the rotor are swept by different axial centers, which can easily cause the motor to heat up or even burn out. If it is found that bearing wear should be replaced in time, the end cover should be replaced or brushed, and the simple treatment method is to insert the end cover.
2. The abnormal vibration or noise of the motor is easy to cause the heating of the motor.
This kind of situation belongs to the vibration caused by the motor itself, most of which are caused by the poor dynamic balance of the rotor, as well as the poor bearing, shaft bending, end cover, machine seat, different axis of the rotor, loose fasteners or uneven installation foundation of the motor, which may also be transmitted by the mechanical end and should be excluded according to the specific situation.
