Five reasons for oil intake of excavator

The excavator driver knows that if the oil is not treated in time, and it will cause more serious consequences, such as the deformation of the engine crankshaft, connecting rod and other important parts, resulting in engine jitter, and more seriously, the engine will be scrapped.

1. The engine water plugs the leakage.

Due to the corrosion of scale, the water will be blocked and rusty, and the cooling water will enter the oil channel from the waterway to the oil pan. This reason is very common, so check the water jam often.

2. The oil radiator is damaged.

The radiator line is damaged and the water outside the radiator seeps into the oil radiator, causing the oil to enter the water.

3. There is a crack in the cylinder liner

When the cooling water is in contact with the cylinder liner in work, it is easy to crack. Once the crack occurs, the cooling water will enter the cylinder directly and enter the oil pan through the cylinder wall, which will make the oil whiten, and the whitening of the oil will lead to the engine burning bad, white smoke and so on. Generally speaking, the cylinder liner is not prone to cracks, but in some cases, such as the winter cooling water is not filled with antifreeze, which may cause cracks in the cylinder liner.

4. Cylinder liner seal ring damaged

The damage of cylinder seal ring is a common cause of oil intake, so when checking the cause of failure, be sure to check that the cylinder seal ring is in good condition.

5. Cylinder pad damaged

If the cylinder pad is damaged and the water cycle is fast, the water in the waterway will flow into the oil channel, resulting in the oil inlet. The damage of cylinder pad is also one of the common reasons for oil intake. After each removal of the machine, try to use a new cylinder pad to avoid oil leakage caused by leakage of cylinder pad and lead to engine damage.
