Automobile suspension spring

Automobile suspension spring is an elastic element in automobile suspension, which makes the bridge and frame or body elastic contact, bears and transmits vertical load, and mitigates and restrains the impact caused by uneven road surface.

Vehicle suspension is the general name of all force transfer connection devices between frame (or load-bearing body) and vehicle bridge (or wheel). The main function of suspension is to transfer the vertical reaction force (supporting force), longitudinal reaction force (driving force and braking force) and lateral reaction force of the road surface acting on the wheel and the moment formed by these reaction force to the frame (or load-bearing body) to ensure the normal driving of the vehicle.

The suspension is mainly composed of three parts: elastic element, guide device and damping element (shock absorber).

Elastic elements make the frame and Bridge elastic contact, withstand and transmit vertical loads, alleviate and restrain the impact caused by uneven road surface, guiding device is used to transfer longitudinal force, lateral force and its moment, to ensure that the wheel has a certain movement law relative to the frame or body. Shock absorber is used to accelerate vibration attenuation. It limits the vibration of body and wheel. It can be seen that the above three components play the role of cushioning, guiding and vibration reduction respectively, and the combination of the three plays the role of common force transmission. In order to prevent excessive lateral inclination of the body when driving or steering on uneven road surface, some automobiles are equipped with auxiliary elastic elements - lateral stabilizer and balance rod.

The elastic components commonly used in automobile suspension system are leaf spring, coil spring, torsion bar spring, air spring and rubber spring.

I am looking forward to visiting Mechanical parts Exhibition.
