Working principle of electromagnetic brake

The friction ring rotates along with the brake drum, and the electromagnet and the driving lever are connected by a clamping spring. At the beginning of braking, the controller sends out braking signal, and the electromagnet is electrified to generate electromagnetic suction, which is adsorbed on the friction ring. Because the electromagnet is restrained by the driving lever, it slides relative to the friction ring, and the friction force acting on the electromagnet drives the driving lever connected with it to rotate around the fulcrum. The driven end of the lever opens the two friction shoes of the brake and presses them to the brake drum to produce braking moment. When the brake is finished, the electromagnet is cut off and the suction and friction disappear. Under the pulling force of the return spring, the friction shoe leaves the brake drum and relieves the brake.

Electromagnetic brake is an ideal automatic actuator in modern industry. It plays an important role in transmitting power and controlling motion in mechanical transmission system. The utility model has the advantages of compact structure, simple operation, sensitive response, long service life, reliable use and easy realization of long-distance control.

It is mainly equipped with series motors. It is widely used in metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, food, machine tools, stage, elevator, ship, packaging and other machinery, as well as in power failure (risk prevention) braking and other occasions.

Mechanical parts Exhibition will open. I am looking forward to your arrival.
