The stator core
Action: it is part of the magnetic circuit of the motor and places stator windings on it.
Structure: the stator core is generally made of silicon steel sheet with insulation layer on 0.35~ 0.5mm thick surface and is laminated.
There are several types of stator core groove.
Semi - closed groove: the efficiency and power factor of the motor is high, but the winding inlay and insulation are difficult. It is generally used in small low voltage motor. Half-open slot: it can be embedded into the formed winding and generally used for large and medium-sized low-voltage motor. The so-called formed winding is that the winding can be insulated before putting into the groove.
Open groove: it is used to embed and form the winding. The insulation method is convenient and mainly used in the high voltage motor.
