Do you know the two types of bearings commonly used in industrial robots?

Equal-section thin-walled bearings and crossed cylindrical roller bearings are the two main categories of industrial robots. In addition, there are harmonic reducer bearings, linear bearings, joint bearings and so on.

The bearing of the industrial robot is one of its key components, and is most suitable for the joint or rotating part of the industrial robot, the rotary table of the machining center, the rotating part of the robot, the precision rotary table, the medical instrument, the measuring instrument, and the IC manufacturing device. And so on.

Industrial robot bearing features: can withstand axial, radial, overturning and other comprehensive load; thin-walled bearings; high-slewing positioning accuracy. Any bearing that meets this design requirement can be used in industrial robot arms, swivel joints, and chassis.

The characteristics of the crossed roller bearing: the crossed roller bearing, the cylindrical roller or the tapered roller is arranged perpendicularly to each other through the spacer block on the 90-degree V-shaped groove rolling surface, so the crossed roller bearing can bear the radial direction Multi-directional loads such as load, axial load and moment load. The size of the inner and outer rings is miniaturized, and the extremely thin form is a small size close to the limit, and has high rigidity and accuracy to the P5, P4, and P2 levels. Therefore, it is suitable for joints and rotating parts of industrial robots, rotary tables for machining centers, precision rotary tables, medical equipment, calculators, military, and IC manufacturing equipment.

The equal-section thin-walled bearing is composed of seven open series and five sealed series. There are three types of open series: radial contact type C, angular contact type A and four point contact type X. Advantages of thin-walled equal-section bearings: Thin-walled bearings achieve extremely thin bearing sections, and also achieve miniaturization and weight reduction of products. The diversity of products extends the range of uses.

Thin-wall equal-section bearing product characteristics: In order to obtain low friction torque, high rigidity and good rotation accuracy of the bearing, a steel ball with a small outer diameter is used. The use of a hollow shaft ensures space for wiring and wiring. The thin-walled 6700 and 6800 series are available in various dust cover types, flanged versions, stainless steel forms, and wide format.

The main applications of thin-walled isometric bearings: stepper motors, medical equipment, office equipment, testing equipment, deceleration / shifting devices, industrial robots, optical / imaging equipment, rotary encoders.

Thin-walled isometric bearings, also known as thin-walled ferrule bearings, are highly accurate, very quiet and have a high load carrying capacity. Thin-walled ferrule bearings can be deep groove ball bearings, four-point contact bearings, angular contact ball bearings, thin-walled and other cross-section bearings are mostly square. In these series, even with larger shaft diameters and bearing bores, the cross section remains the same. These bearings are therefore referred to as equal sections. It is this feature that distinguishes thin-walled ferrule bearings in the standard ISO series from conventional bearings. Therefore, a larger cross section can be selected and a more load bearing bearing can be used without having to change the shaft diameter. Thin-walled ferrule bearings can be designed to be extremely light and require very little space.
