Grinding machine main bearing lubrication troubleshooting

In general, the main bearing operation failures mainly have the following situations:

  (1) The temperature of the lubricating oil is gradually increased, and the streaks of the babbitt alloy are formed on the outer surface of the hollow shaft journal, and the deep streaks can reach about 2 mm, and the density is uneven. The main reason is that the smoothness of the hollow shaft journal is not enough, so that the contact point of the tile surface is subjected to shear stress and causes a large area of strain (shear damage). The Babbitt alloy particles are adhered to the surface of the hollow shaft journal, and the hollow shaft is turned to the upper part to meet the cold lubricating oil and is cold-treated, thereby increasing the hardness. When it is turned to the lower side with the hollow shaft, the tile surface is pulled and appears. Strips of unequal spacing. At the same time, after the hollow shaft to which the babbitt particles are adhered is subjected to the cyclic running friction, the temperature of the main bearing lubricating oil is gradually increased to generate a high temperature. At this time, the bearing bush should be pulled out, the tile surface should be scraped again, the streaks should be too deep, and the homogenous babbitt should be repaired.

  (2) High temperature occurs on the side of the bearing bush. This is caused by the adjustment of the tile seat, which causes the tile surface to contact with the hollow shaft journal a small area and the static load becomes large. At this time, the mill cylinder should be jacked up to check the contact between the spherical tile back and the tile seat. If necessary, the tile seat and the tile back should be re-ground to make it freely adjustable. At the same time, the tile surface should be scraped again, the oxide layer should be completely scraped off, and the hollow shaft journal should be polished with oil stone.

  (3) When the temperature rises, the gloss of the main shaft is gray and there is adhesion. This is caused by the high temperature of the tile surface. At this time, the bearing should be scraped; sometimes the spindle is bright, which is due to oil. Poor quality, caused by impurities in the oil, should be changed.

  (4) The oil temperature is high, but there is no pasteurization phenomenon. The reasons may be as follows: First, the lubricating oil supply is small and the viscosity is low, and the oil film cannot be formed; secondly, the oil quality is poor; the third is that the grinding tile does not meet the specification requirements, the gap of the tile mouth is too small; the fourth is the bearing pad. The cooling water is not smooth. It can be treated separately by changing oil, re-scraping and unblocking cooling water.
