Selection method of bearing

The common rolling bearing types of motor are deep groove ball bearing, cylindrical roller bearing, centring roller bearing and angular contact ball bearing. The deep groove ball bearing is used at both ends of the small motor, the roller bearing is used at the load end of the medium motor (generally used in high load condition), and the ball bearing is used at the non-load end (but the opposite is also the case). Small motors also use angular contact ball bearings. The centring roller bearing is mainly used in large motor or vertical motor. Motor bearings require the same sound, low vibration, low noise, low temperature rise.

According to the bearing load: 1. the ball bearing should be preferred (because the main components of the ball bearing are point contact), 2. the roller bearing should be selected for the larger load and impact load, and the deformation after bearing is small.

According to the direction of load, select bearing type: 1. bearing axial load, select angular contact bearing (unidirectional thrust ball bearing), 2. bearing radial load, select single row concentric ball bearing (deep groove ball bearing) or tapered roller bearing, 3. when bearing radial and axial alternating load, select tapered roller bearing, angular contact bearing and deep groove ball bearing.

Axial fixing of rolling bearing (inner ring fixing method): one end of bearing inner ring is often positioned by shoulder or sleeve. 1. Shaft is fixed with elastic retaining ring, which is mainly used for low speed and small axial load. 2. Axial end retaining ring fixed: can be used for higher speed, larger axial load, and only suitable for shaft end. 3. Round nut and brake gasket are fixed, and are mainly used for high speed and bearing large axial load. 4. The fastening bushing and round nut structure are fixed, which can be used to fasten the centering bearing with little axial force and rotating speed on the long shaft.
