Pneumatic motor is a prime mover with compressed air as the working medium. It is a power device that converts pressure energy into mechanical energy by using the expansion of compressed gas.
Although the structure and working principle of each type of pneumatic motor are different, most pneumatic motors have the following characteristics.
1. It can be stepless speed regulation. As long as the opening of the intake valve or exhaust valve is controlled, that is, the flow rate of compressed air can be controlled, the output power and speed of the motor can be adjusted. The purpose of adjusting speed and power can be achieved.
2. You can turn forward or reverse. As long as most gas motors simply use the control valve to change the inlet and exhaust direction of the motor, the forward rotation and reversal of the output shaft of the gas motor can be realized, and the instantaneous reversal can be realized. In the positive and negative conversion, the impact is very small. One of the main advantages of gas motor switching is its ability to rise to full speed almost instantly. Vane gas motors can rise to full speed in a second and a half. Piston gas motors can rise to full speed in less than a second. By using the control valve to change the direction of intake, the positive and negative rotation can be realized. The time to realize positive and negative rotation is short, the speed is fast, the impact is small, and there is no need to unload.
3. It is safe to work, free from vibration, high temperature, electromagnetic, radiation and so on. It is suitable for harsh working environment and can work normally under flammable, explosive, high temperature, vibration, humidity, dust and other unfavorable conditions.
4. It has the function of overload protection and will not fail due to overload. When the motor is overloaded, the speed of the motor only decreases or stops, and when the overload is lifted, it can be returned to normal operation immediately, and there is no failure such as damage to the parts of the machine. It can run continuously under full load for a long time and the temperature rise is small.
