(1) For the block brake, GB10060-1993 "Elevator Installation Acceptance Code" Article 4.1.10 requirements: "brake action should be flexible, and brake shoe on both sides should be tightly and uniformly bonded to the working surface of the brake wheel, release should be synchronous departure, the average clearance at its four corners on both sides is not more than 0.7 mm." Therefore, it is necessary to check the rotating parts of the brake during the inspection, each pin shaft should be flexible to rotate. When power on or power off, the moving core should run without blocking. Brake arms on both sides of the brake should act in accordance, opening or holding the brake at the same time. When the average clearance at the four corners of the brake is less than 0.7 mm on both sides, the upper limit switch, the upper limit switch and the buffer switch are connected short, and the slow car lifts the empty car so that the counterweight is completely pressed on the buffer. (2) The wear amount of brake shoe (or brake pad) should be checked regularly. For example, if the wear is large, the contact surface between the brake shoe (or brake pad) and the brake wheel (disc) will be reduced, resulting in a reduction in braking torque, which will lead to safety hazards such as rolling. Structurally, the force acting on the brake wheel or disc by the brake pad should be symmetrical, which does not produce additional load on the motor shaft and worm shaft. Brake shoe materials should be non-flammable, and have a certain heat capacity to ensure that the friction coefficient is basically unchanged when heating. It must be made of materials of sufficient strength and good quality, and harmful materials such as asbestos must not be used.

(3) Brake noise should be detected separately.
