Guide rail system design and application field

The maximum contact area between the fixed and moving components is achieved, which can not only improve the load capacity of the system, but also withstand the impact force generated by intermittent cutting or gravity cutting, spreading the force widely and expanding the bearing area. In order to achieve this, the groove of the guide system has various shapes. There are two representative ones. One is called gothic (pointed arch). The shape is a semicircular extension, and the contact point is a vertex. The other is a circular arc, which works the same way. There is only one purpose to strive for more rolling ball radius contact with the guide (fixed element). The key factor that determines the system performance is how the rolling element contacts the guide.

Linear guides are mainly used for automatic machines, such as machine tools imported from Germany, paper bowl machines, laser welding machines, etc. Of course, linear guides and straight spools are used together.

Linear guides are mainly used in mechanical structures with high precision requirements. Moving and fixed elements of linear guides do not use intermediate media, but roll steel balls. Because rolling steel ball is suitable for high speed movement, low friction coefficient and high sensitivity, it meets the working requirements of moving parts, such as tool holder and drag plate of machine tool. If the force acting on the steel ball is too large, the steel ball is subjected to preload for too long, which leads to the increase of the motion resistance of the support.
